Bibb County Commissioner Announces Bid for Re-Election

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Commissioner Bert Bivins announced his bid for re-election Thursday.  The democrat says he wants to continue making an effort to find cost-saving methods that work for Bibb County government.  Bivins tells 41NBC his main goal right now and if re-elected is to help Chairman Sam Hart make sure SPLOST projects get done as promised.

“Right now, I think it’s those SPLOST projects because those are the things that we’ve all identified and know really need to get done so if I have any pet peeves or projects to get done it would be all of those projects that are on that splost list,” explained Bert Bivins, Bibb County Commissioner.

Commissioner Bivins has held the role of Bibb County Commissioner for District 2 since 1995.  The primary election is July 31.
