Pedestrian injured in Riverside Drive collision, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigating

69-year-old man hospitalized after being struck by maroon sedan; investigation ongoing.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning on Riverside Drive.  According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at 10:19 a.m. as a 69-year-old man crossed Riverside Drive northbound from Orange Street. He was hit by a maroon sedan.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local medical facility. According to medical staff, he is in stable condition.
