Bibb school placed on lockdown after social media tip, gun found
Campus police recovered a gun following a social media tip; students and staff are safe

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Miller Middle School was placed on a precautionary lockdown for about 15 minutes Wednesday morning after a tip from social media, according to school officials.
During the lockdown, Bibb County Schools Campus Police conducted a search and recovered a gun.
Lockdown lifted, normal operations resume
School officials said in a message to parents that the lockdown was lifted after the search was completed, and normal operations have resumed.
All students and staff are safe, according to the school system.
Officials said additional information will be released later in the day.
