MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Miss Central Georgia Hannah Perry is using her year of service to promote the importance of historical preservation and awareness across Middle Georgia.
Perry, who holds the title of Miss Central Georgia, is sharing her community service initiative, “Past Forward,” a program centered on preserving the past to help guide the future. Her platform focuses on historical conservation, education and building awareness around genealogy, local communities and the broader history of Middle Georgia.
Through “Past Forward,” Perry encourages others to explore their roots and better understand the places and stories that have shaped their communities. She said her passion for history inspired her to choose this initiative and create greater awareness about the importance of preserving it for future generations.
Perry said she strives to be “authentically me” in everything she does, and has integrity and passion as guiding values. “I put love and passion behind it all,” she said.
As Miss Central Georgia, Perry also hopes to inspire young girls to get involved in the Miss America Opportunity and to understand that it is built on scholarship, sisterhood and friendship.
She represents a commitment to honoring the past while encouraging others to look forward, using her platform to educate, inspire and connect communities throughout the region.
