Bob’s Discount Furniture distribution center coming to Macon

President and CEO of Bob’s Discount Furniture, Bill Barton says this will be their seventh distribution center across the United States.  

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —A new warehouse and distribution center for Bob’s Discount Furniture is coming to Macon. Omega Construction, project partners and community leaders celebrated the groundbreaking Thursday at 4521 Cavalier Drive.  

President and CEO of Bob’s Discount Furniture, Bill Barton, says this will be their seventh distribution center across the United States.  

“This is the perfect location for us as we think about our southeast expansion,” said Barton. “We’re primary northeast, Midwest, and Westcoast business. We started opening stores in the south last year, it’s gone so well that we decided to commit to a distribution center here in Georgia. Macon’s a perfect location for the roughly 100 stores we expect to open in the southeast”. 

Barton says the new center will bring around 250 jobs, and expects to open the center in mid 2027.
