Storm damage reported across Bibb and Baldwin counties after storms

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Crews across parts of Middle Georgia responded Monday morning to storm damage, including fallen trees, blocked roads, and damage to a home.

41NBC News saw workers with the Georgia Department of Transportation clearing fallen trees and limbs from Thomaston Road at Price Road in Bibb County.

The eastbound lane was blocked while crews worked to remove debris from the roadway.

This damage was reported near the same area where a tornado damaged several homes Thursday.

Trees and possible power lines down in Macon-Bibb County

Macon-Bibb County officials also reported several locations impacted by storm damage Monday morning.

One report involved trees down on Rivoli Drive between Kentucky Downs and Rivoli Ridge. Officials said the downed trees could include power lines.

County crews were being dispatched to assess conditions and clear roadways where needed.

Officials urged drivers to use caution when traveling and to be prepared for possible detours or blocked roads while crews work to remove debris.

Residents who encounter trees blocking roadways are asked to report them to Macon-Bibb County by calling 478-751-7500.

Tree falls onto Baldwin County home

In Baldwin County, emergency crews responded to a call involving a tree that fell onto a home.

According to Baldwin County Fire Rescue, they responded Monday morning to a report of a tree that had fallen onto a residence on Irwinton Road.

Officials said no injuries were reported.

Fire crews assessed the scene and worked to ensure the area was safe.

Authorities said the incident serves as a reminder of how quickly conditions can change during severe weather.
