MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Partners in Education, a local nonprofit, is hosting a P.I.E. Day Celebration to raise funds for musical instruments and lessons.

The organization provides free music lessons and refurbished instruments to students in Bibb County and across Middle Georgia.

The event will be held at 10:30 a.m. March 12 at Pierce Chapel at Wesleyan College.

The celebration will feature music from Dr. Monty Cole and Dr. Marcus Reddick.

The event will also include a raffle and pie auction, with proceeds benefiting Partners in Education. Bidding will start at $25 per pie and increase in $5 increments. A total of 41 pies will be available for bidding.

Organizers say those who cannot attend the event can still support the organization through donations.

The P.I.E. committee also encourages people to donate unused instruments to the Macon Morning Music Club.
