Crawford County Commissioners Will Discuss Sunday Alcohol Sales
ROBERTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Crawford County commissioners will discuss the option of allowing Sunday alcohol sales at Tuesday night’s commissioner’s meeting.
County Manager Pat Kelly, says he and several of the commissioners were getting phone calls from liquor store owners, who said they were losing business when surrounding counties passed allowing Sunday sales. Kelly explained many people would cross to Peach County to buy alcohol on Saturdays and Sundays.
Commissioners will not be voting for or against Sunday sales at the 7:00p.m. meeting. Kelly says they are considering it as an option, but want hear what the people of Crawford County have to say about the idea of Sunday sales.
