Monroe County School Board Delays Consolidation Decision
Tonight, the Monroe County School Board decided to postpone the decision to consolidate the middle schools.
Superintendent Anthony Pack says staff members retiring at the end of the school year will impact the consolidation plan. They need to get retirement requests in writing before the board can move forward.
He suggested they hold off until the next meeting to make a decision. This will give the school board enough time to implement consolidation for the 2012/2013 school year if they vote to pass the proposal.
