Mayor Reichert Talks SPLOST and Transfers in Work Session

Negotiations between Macon and Bibb County continued Tuesday about how to handle the transfer of city employees to the county.

At City Hall, Macon Mayor Robert Reichert told council he’s looking to see if it’s legally possible for the 142 transferred employees to stay on Macon’s pension fund and have the county pay their contribution to the city.
