Central Finds New Head Football Coach Jamoski Ward

Ward returns to Macon after leading as a Chargers assistant coach back in 2012-17

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Thursday night, the Bibb County School Board approved the hiring of new head football coach for Central High School, Jamoski Ward. Ward comes back to Central after being a Chargers assistant coach from 2012-17.

From 2018-23, Ward served as the Offensive Coordinator for the Baldwin Braves, before accepting his first head coaching position at Wilkinson County High School in 2024. In his two seasons with the Warriors, Ward lead the program to a 10-12 record overall, with a 8-2 region record.

Ward replaces Jarrett Laws, who went 1-29 in his three seasons at the helm of the Chargers football program.
