Bibb County deputy on administrative leave after caught on video throwing object at truck
In the video, it appears to show a Bibb County Deputy directing traffic Tuesday night at the intersection of Mercer University Drive and Bloomfield Road, when the deputy threw his flashlight at a vehicle driving by and shattering glass.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Bibb County Sheriff’s deputy is on administrative leave according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, for an incident caught on video that’s making its rounds on social media.
41NBC’s Gena Tripp first noticed the video Wednesday morning on Facebook. She reached out to the person who captured the video, Arnesto Gonzales, on what looks like a dash cam and he gave us permission to use the video.
In the video, it appears to show a Bibb County Deputy directing traffic Tuesday night at the intersection of Mercer University Drive and Bloomfield Road, when the deputy threw his flashlight at a vehicle driving by and shattering glass.
The truck then comes to a stop and the deputy approaches the vehicle and appears to say something to the driver. The driver begins to turn left and the video stops.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of the deputy or additional details surrounding the incident.
