Northeast Sweeps Awards at Weekly Macon Touchdown Club

Northwest Raiders Sweep Awards at Macon Touchdown Club coming off their GHSA First Round Playoff Win over Fannin County

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – At the weekly gathering of the Macon Touchdown Club Monday night, three Northeast players swept the awards table Monday night, after their GHSA first round playoff victory over Fannin County 41-0.

The Back of the Week went to Raiders Junior Kortnei Williams for his 214 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns on offense, to go along with his four tackles, one pass breakup, and an interception on defense.

The Lineman of the Week went to Raiders’ Sophomore Linebacker Maurice Wilson for his five tackles, two for a loss, and an interception, in the first round playoff win.

The Special Teams Player of the Week went to Raiders’ Senior Kicker Demonta Dunn, who was a perfect 5-for-5 on PAT’s Friday night.

Westside Head Coach Spoon Risper spoke about his last season with the Seminoles and expressed interest in a head coaching position at a small private school in the future.
