Macon GIAA Teams Spotlight Week 13 Touchdown Club Honorees

FPD and Stratford student-athletes shined under the lights last Friday for Week 13 of the High School Football Season

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Touchdown Club honored three GIAA Student Athletes for their performances on the gridiron last Friday.

The Back of the Week award went to FPD Senior RB/DB Brady McHugh. The Vikings Senior had 146 total yards of offense and 4 touchdowns in the 42-7 win over Strong Rock.

The Lineman of the Week went to his teammate, Junior LB Graham Moore, who totaled 12 tackles and an interception in that playoff win.

The Special Teams Player of the Week was awarded to Stratford Junior George Dunn for averaging 48 yards a punt and completing 5-of-5 extra points in the Eagles 37-21 win over Calvary Christian.

Peach County Head Coach Marquis Westbrook and Northeast Head Coach Jeremy Wiggins both spoke on the state of their squads heading into hosting first round playoff matchups this Friday.

Special Guest Speaker was Army Football Head Coach Jeff Monken.
