Commissioner Joe Allen to Seek Re-Election

Bibb County Commissioner Joe Allen is asking District 4 voters to re-elect him for another term.

Allen says he has extensive human resources experience, which will help in the much talked about service delivery strategy. That plan will move 142 city employees to the county. Those affected worry about maintaining their same employment benefits.

“As chairman of human resources, I will continue to do all I can to rep our employees as well as the employees being transferred from the city to the county,” Allen said in a news conference Wednesday, “and that they receive the same salaries and benefits on the same level as the job dictates.”

Allen also says he plans to make upkeep of Lake Tobesofkee a priority, despite a lack of SPLOST money.
