New attractions make their debut at the Georgia National Fair
The Georgia National Fair is back in Perry, and this year organizers are rolling out several new attractions for visitors to enjoy.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia National Fair is underway, and it features plenty of new attractions this year, including rides.
Reithoffer Shows, the company responsible for bringing in the rides, introduced a brand-new attraction from Italy. Standing 136 feet tall, the ride reaches speeds up to 80 miles per hour. President and CEO Richard Reithoffer said it’s “the ultimate thrill ride.”
Food lovers will also have plenty to sample with the fair’s “Fair Food Fight,” which features 20 new dishes. Marketing and Communications Specialist Addie Hodges said the additions are “always super exciting” for fairgoers.
Entertainment options have expanded as well. This year’s concert lineup includes country artists Shenandoah and Tracy Lawrence, 80s rock bands Great White and Slaughter and R&B group Morris Day and The Time. Instead of Saturday night concerts, the fair is introducing a “kickoff Saturday” featuring live-streamed college football games at the Tower Stage.
Other highlights include Circus Hollywood, a high-energy circus show with trapeze acts, clowns, illusions and animal performances. Visitors can also watch a corndog eating contest and take part in Patriotic Sunday on October 5, when all military members and veterans receive free admission.
The Georgia National Fair runs through Sunday, October 12, at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. You can purchase tickets here.
