Visiting Angels hosts first charity golf tournament in Warner Robins for Alzheimer’s Association
Visiting Angels of Central Georgia held its first charity golf tournament in Warner Robins, raising funds to support the Alzheimer’s Association and local caregivers.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Golfers teed off early Friday morning at the first charity golf tournament hosted by Visiting Angels of Central Georgia, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Nearly 80 golfers participated in the charity event. All player entry fees helped support the fundraising efforts for the charity. The organization set a fundraising goal of $15,000.
Hope Brown, Regional Marketing and Community Relations Manager for Visiting Angels of Central Georgia, says the disease affects many families and encourages caregivers not to get frustrated or discouraged.
“There is support out there through the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as other different resources out there available for caregivers,” she said. “Caregiver support is so important, and we don’t want that burnout happening. So just, you know, keep up with the good fight.”
