Dublin VA Medical Center hosts annual September 11 ceremony
“We organize this ceremony every year to remember the families and the first responders who were sacrificed in that horrific attack on 9/11,” Interim Medical Center Director Lenearo Ashford said.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin held its annual 9/11 Remembrance Day ceremony.
Employees and veterans welcomed the public to the Patriot Day and Day of Service and Remembrance event, which began at 8:30 a.m. at the campus flagpole. The program included a welcome address, a flag ceremony, recognition of first responders, the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence.

The September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were carried out by the Islamist extremist group al-Qaida. Hijackers seized four commercial airplanes, crashing them into prominent U.S. targets and killing nearly 3,000 people.
