Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration to honor Southeastern Native American cultures

The event is hosted by the National Park Service and Ocmulgee Mounds Association in partnership with the Muscogee Creek Nation.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration will honor Southeastern Native American cultures this weekend at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park.

The event is scheduled for September 13–14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The event is hosted by the National Park Service and the Ocmulgee Mounds Association in partnership with the Muscogee Creek Nation.

Organizers said the event will feature traditional crafts, storytelling, educational programs, live demonstrations, music and dance.

Free parking and shuttle service will be provided from the Macon-Bibb Health Department at 171 Emery Highway. There will be no on-site parking.
