ELKO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 3-year-old child has died following a drowning incident over Labor Day weekend, according to Houston County Coroner James Williams.
The incident happened at night on August 31 in a swimming pool at Twin Oaks RV Park on Highway 26 in Elko.
The child was taken to Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Macon, where they died Thursday from injuries sustained in the drowning, Williams said.
No further information is being released at this time.
