Georgia National Fairgrounds hosting 4th annual Fair Food Drive Saturday
The Georgia National Fairgrounds is partnering with Kroger and the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank to collect food and raise money for families in need.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Looking to help the less fortunate? Head over to the Georgia National Fairgrounds for the 4th annual Fair Food Drive.
The Georgia National Fair is partnering with Kroger and the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank to help those in need.
On Saturday, September 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Fairgrounds will be accepting non-perishable food donations in exchange for Fair food coupons.
“The first 500 participants who bring at least five non-perishable, in-date food items will receive $10 in Fair Bucks to use at participating food vendors during the 2025 Georgia National Fair,” said Addie Hodges, Marketing and Communication Specialist with the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter. “The event will take place at the Georgia Grown building at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, with a convenient drive-thru donation drop-off located inside the West Gate entrance.”
Monetary donations made through the online campaign will directly benefit local food banks. The campaign is open now and will close on Friday, September 5, at midnight. Donations can be made at https://www.classy.org/campaign/georgia-national-fairgrounds-livestock-ambassador-2025/c698793
The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, which serves 24 counties and supports more than 190 partner agencies, has identified several priority items for donation. These include:
- Canned goods (in-date)
- Healthy and low-sodium options
- Kid-friendly snacks (Pop-Tarts, fruit cups, mini cereal boxes)
- Noodle pasta and rice
- Peanut butter and protein-rich foods
- Canned meats
This event is organized by the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter Youth Livestock Ambassadors, a group of 10 high school students from across Georgia who serve a one-year term. Their mission is to showcase the livestock and equine industries, promote youth involvement in agriculture and highlight the important role these industries play in the mission of the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter.
