(CNN)- “Superman” is still flying high at the box office, and now fans have a release date for the sequel. Writer-director James Gunn announced on social media that Man of Tomorrow will arrive in theaters on July 9, 2027.

The current film, Superman, has already grossed more than $600 million worldwide and introduced Milly Alcock as Supergirl. Her standalone movie, Woman of Tomorrow, is slated to hit theaters next June.

Meanwhile, another project is generating major buzz. The first teaser trailer for Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite features the haunting words of Carl Sagan and teases a story about an impending missile strike on the United States.

The thriller received an extended standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival this week. A House of Dynamite opens in select theaters on October 10, followed by a Netflix debut on October 24.
