MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Visit Macon and the Macon Beyond team are offering a ghost hunting experience this fall, led by actress and producer Carrie Genzel, known for her roles in The Walking Dead and Supernatural. She will be joined by paranormal investigator Jonathan Morgan and spiritual medium Morrighan Lynne.

Genzel said the night will bring together history and ghost stories in a hands-on way.

“We’re bringing you along into the history of Burke Mansion and the location, the claims of paranormal hauntings and stories, and then we’re gonna do an investigation with our team,” Genzel said. “Morrighan Lynne and Jonathan Morgan who work with us on ‘Macon Beyond’ are going to be here to guide us through an evening of immersive ghost hunting.”

Guests will start the night with a cocktail reception and then take part in a guided investigation of the 1887 mansion. Each ticket also includes entry to Rock Candy Tours’ Macon Macabre Walking Tour.

Two ticket options are available. A $45 ticket covers the ghost hunt and reception on October 3. For those wanting the full experience, a two-night stay package from October 3–5 at Burke Mansion is available, ranging from $500 to $1,000, depending on room choice.

Visit Macon President and CEO Gary Wheat said the event helps build on Macon’s growing reputation as a Halloween destination.

Burke Mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and now serves as a luxury bed and breakfast.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased at maconbeyond.com.
