Howard Defeats Rutland To Secure The Huslies First Win Of The Season

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Thursday night, two winless Bibb County Schools battled under the lights of Thompson Stadium. The Rutland Hurricanes and the Howard Huskies.

With both teams tied at seven, the Huskies capitalize first to go up 14-7. However, the Canes respond with a score of their own, but fail the PAT, to keep Howard on top 14-13. Then with 3 minutes left to go in the fourth quarter, Howard scored a one-yard touchdown run to win the game 20-13.

The Huskies move to 1-1 and take on West Laurens next week.
While Rutland falls to 0-2, as the Canes get ready to play Lamar county next Friday.
