North Macon business thrilled to get back to normal after months of construction on Bass Road Bridge
Southern Primary Care Medical Assistant McKenzie Rogers said the construction definitely put a damper on business.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Employees at Southern Primary Care on Bass Road and their patients are thrilled to be able to travel to the Bass Road location without having to take a detour because of the nearly six months of construction of the Bass Road Bridge.
That’s because construction wrapped up Saturday.
Southern Primary Care Medical Assistant McKenzie Rogers said the construction definitely put a damper on the business.
She says now that construction is over, she doesn’t have to leave her home as early to get to work anymore. Plus, she’s noticing patients are making it to their appointments on time once again.
The construction started in February of 2025. Crews were replacing the aging structure.
