Tech Report: AOL to end dial-up service as Tesla, Apple and Intel make headlines
It’s the end of an era for AOL.

(LILAMAX)- After more than 30 years of connecting people to the internet through its iconic dial-up service, AOL has announced it will officially discontinue the service and its dialer software on September 30. The company says the change will not impact any of its other offerings.
In the electric vehicle industry, Tesla is setting its sights on large-scale production of its all-electric Semi truck. CEO Elon Musk confirmed that mass production is now scheduled for 2027. The Class 8 EV was first unveiled in late 2017, with initial deliveries beginning in December 2022. Since then, Tesla has only supplied the trucks to a limited number of customers while building a dedicated manufacturing facility near its Nevada plant.
Apple fans are getting new details about the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup. According to AppleInsider, the standard model will feature a 6.3-inch display, up from last year’s 6.1-inch size, while the Air Pro Max will offer a massive 6.7-inch screen. The new generation is expected to launch in September.
Meanwhile, Intel CEO Lip Bu Tan — who has faced scrutiny from lawmakers over his past and current business dealings with China — visited the White House on Monday. President Donald Trump had called for Tan’s resignation last week, but following the meeting, he described Tan as an “American success story.”
