Mobile Farmers Exhibit Stops by FVSU
Students of agriculture at Fort valley state university got a chance to experience a hands on farming exhibit Tuesday.
The America’s farmers Mobile Experience exhibit tours the country courtesy of Monsanto agriculture biotech company, and today it stopped right here in Middle Georgia. The tour features a thousand square feet of exhibit space with videos, displays and interactive kiosks, which tell the stories of America’s farmers.
Organizers say the exhibit sheds a whole new light on the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives.
“We have several students that look at the exhibit as they pass by, so we invite them to come in,” says Mark Latimore, Asst. VP of Land Grant Affairs at FVSU. “These are students that are not agriculture majors so they ask, ‘What’s inside? What’s this about?’ When they come through, they say “‘Oh, i’m totally surprised, farming can be interesting.
The exhibit is currently touring the US. For more information, visit www.AmericasFarmers.com.
