Wilkinson Co. Tax Commissioner Faces Felony Theft Charges

GBI agents arrested Wilkinson Tax Commissioner Kevin Rauscher Wednesday. He faces felony charges for allegedly stealing public money.

GBI agent, Tom Davis,says an ongoing investigation stemming from June led to the arrest.

Rausher also face felony possession of a controlled substance. Investigators found him with hydrocodone pills when he was arrested.

Davis would not release how much money Rauscher allegedly took because the investigation is ongoing. He is being held at the Wilkinson County Jail.
