Multi-Vehicle Accident Blocks Northbound Lanes in Monroe County

A multi-vehicle accident blocked all lanes of I-75 Northbound in Monroe county Wednesday night. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman, Allison Selman-Willis, the call came in around 7:20 about the accident near mile marker 191.

There are no serious injuries, but one person was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia, only with non-life threatening injuries.

A 41 NBC producer on the scene reports seeing at least 5 vehicles involved in the pile-up.

Selman-Willis is urging all drivers to use extreme caution on the roads, and take weather conditions into consideration.
