Officer Injured After Chasing Suspect In East Macon

A Macon police officer is injured after attempting to catch a run away suspect.

It happened Wednesday morning on East Pine Hill Drive in East Macon.

According to a news release, the officer saw 25year old Antonio Dewan Fluellen kicking in the back door of a home.

Fluellen started running when the officer tried to stop him. While in pursuit through a wooded area, the officer injured his ankle, but was still able to make the arrest.

Fluellen is being held at the Bibb LEC charged with criminal trespass, obstruction, and a state court probation violation.
