Hawks Teague Sprains Left Ankle in Practice

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks say starting point guard Jeff Teague suffered a sprained left ankle during Wednesday’s practice and is considerable questionable for Thursday’s preseason game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Teague, a third-year player from Wake Forest, averaged 5.2 points and two assists per game in the regular 2010-11 season. He became a starter this season after averaging 11.8 points while filling in as a starter during the playoffs last season.

The Hawks open their regular season at New Jersey on Tuesday.
