Two Arrested for Stealing Stove in Macon

An alert citizen was the first to tell police about two men accused of stealing.  32-year old Lavar James and 34-Jonathan Mullis are charged with theft by taking. Thursday afternoon, the citizen told police that two men in a gray Mazda truck took an air compressor and stove from a home on Mikado Avenue.

The officer then went to a recycling center, where he found a truck matching that description and the suspects. They were arrested on the spot.
