One injured in Sunday morning shooting on Telfair Street in Dublin

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured early Sunday morning in Dublin.
According to a release from Chief Keith Moon of the Dublin Police Department, officers responded around 1:15 a.m. on July 27 to reports of gunfire in the area of Telfair Street, between Kersey Lane and Smith Street.
Investigators say the incident involved multiple individuals exchanging gunfire. One person was wounded during the shooting. Their condition has not been released.
The Dublin Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is actively working the case.
“The individuals involved in this incident demonstrated a total and blatant disregard for the lives and safety of our citizens,” Chief Moon said in the release. “For that reason, the Dublin Police Department is seeking your assistance.”
