Fatal Accident in North Bibb County

The rain Monday morning may have caused a fatal accident in North Bibb County.  The single car crash happened at 8:30am in front of the Overlook at Arkwright Office Park.  The driver, 27-year-old Divay Chaudhry, lost control of his vehicle as he rounded a wet curb on Arkwright Road.  Chaudhry and his passenger, 29-year-old Janeen Empress, were taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Empress was pronounced dead.

“It appears they lost control of their vehicle, came across the road, hit several of these large rocks in this shopping center,” explained Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

Chaudhury is listed in stable condition.  Both were resident doctors at the Medical Center.
