Jones County man charged with battery after choking wife

According to a news release, deputies with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kelly Cleary Sr. following a domestic incident.

JONES COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested Tuesday after a domestic dispute in Jones County, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident happened on June 24. According to a news release, deputies with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kelly Cleary Sr. following a domestic incident.

Cleary was charged with battery – family violence after allegedly choking his wife during the dispute.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement:

“The Jones County Sheriff’s Office takes all domestic violence cases seriously and remains committed to protecting victims and holding offenders accountable.”
