UPDATE: Three juveniles charged after shots fired during altercation in Forsyth

A news release says the shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. June 20 at the Forsyth Gardens Apartments, located at 500 Cabiness Road.

UPDATE (8/20/2025) Three juveniles are facing charges after a verbal altercation escalated into gunfire in June in Forsyth, according to the Forsyth Police Department.

Officers responded Friday, June 20, to a report of a firearm-related incident at 500 Cabiness Road. Investigators determined three juveniles were involved in an argument that led to shots being fired between them.

No injuries were reported, but the investigation resulted in multiple charges:

  • Juvenile 1: Aggravated assault and theft by taking

  • Juvenile 2: Possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 21

  • Juvenile 3: Possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 21

Forsyth police thanked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for assisting in the case.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two juveniles were shot Friday in Forsyth, according to the Forsyth Police Department.

A news release says the shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. June 20 at the Forsyth Gardens Apartments, located at 500 Cabiness Road.

Officers arrived and found two male juveniles with gunshot wounds. The two juveniles were taken to the hospital and are okay, according to the Forsyth Police Department. The GBI has been called in to assist.
