MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – New businesses continue to make downtown Macon their home.

Among the latest additions is “The Social Duck,” a unique entertainment center that is just days away from opening its doors.

Mark Bell, the general manager, says the fun-filled destination will offer a unique experience the community has been wanting.

“You can come hungry. You can come thirsty. We have it all here. Bring your competitive side and do it out on the floor,” he said.

The Social Duck will offer several experiences, including old-school duckpin bowling, a full bar and a menu with a selection of meals.

“We have a lot of tourism that’s coming into town,” Bell said. “You can come downtown, have entertainment, food, drinks, and a bowling alley all in one place.”

The center will include six duckpin lanes, and the menu will feature items including duck sliders, hot dogs and wontons.

With the opening just around the corner, here are a few important details for guests:

  • Reservations are highly recommended and can be made on their website.
  • Bowlers wear their own shoes
  • The bowling lanes can be booked by the hour, with pricing to be announced soon. Reservations must be made at least one hour before closing time.

An exact opening date has not been announced but Bell says you can expect it to open by the end of the month.

The Social Duck, located at 476 2nd Street, will be open Monday through Thursday from 4-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
