Man Accused of Trying to Run Over Deputy Arrested

Today, an anonymous tip leads Bibb County Sheriff’s Office to a Montezuma man, who attempted to run over a Deputy on Tuesday night.

48 year-old Willis Plank was arrested around 10a.m. by deputies.

During the arrest, deputies found stolen items from the Tractor Supply Company on Ivey Drive in Bibb County.

Plank’s Ford Ranger was confiscated and he was charged with Theft by Shoplifting.

Warrants are also being taken out for the charges of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer and Obstruction from the incident that occurred on Tuesday night.
