Operation Softback Book to host chicken and waffle fundraiser
Queen Mother Nana Adowa Kodwuwa ll says the event is open to everyone.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Operation Softback Book is hosting a chicken and waffle fundraiser this weekend to support its charitable efforts.
The event will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on May 24 at the Douglass Theatre, located at 355 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Queen Mother Nana Adowa Kodwuwa II said the event is open to the public, and tickets are $25.
The nonprofit will also be collecting donations to benefit Macon-Bibb’s Sister City in Ghana. Attendees are encouraged to donate softback books, T-shirts, tablets or monetary contributions.
