Warner Robins Little League Champs Tour Air Force Base

Members of the Warner Robins American Little League Southeastern championship team got an exclusive, ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the Robins Air Force Base today.

Players and coaches rode around the base and had the chance to get up close and personal with the F-15’s, the JSTARS, and watch a demonstration of how military dogs are trained.

The boys watched as the dogs were trained on how to attack and bring down suspects.

One of the team members, Jordan Hampton, says the coolest part of touring the base, was watching the dogs.

“Just seeing how well they react to commands and hurt people,” Hampton explains.

Coach Buddy Deal, says building a relationship between the city, the base, and his team, is what is important.

“Warner Robins has supported Little League like there’s no tomorrow. For them to come out here and have us on the base…and see the kids get to grow up and see exactly what’s behind the support…for them to be able to come see these people, what they do, day in and day out, it’s pretty awesome.”
