Warner Robins Police mourn the loss of K9 Argo days before retirement
Beloved K9 officer Argo passed away just days before his planned retirement after years of loyal service to the Warner Robins Police Department.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Warner Robins Police Department announced with heavy hearts the passing of its beloved K9 officer, Argo, on May 15, 2025. Argo had been an active member of the police force since 2017, serving alongside his handler, Investigator Jason Lamberth.
A loyal partner in service
Argo was set to officially retire on May 19, 2025, and was preparing for a life of relaxation after years of devoted service. However, the department was forced to say goodbye to the heroic K9 earlier than expected.
“We are so thankful for his many years of dedicated service to our agency,” said the Warner Robins Police Department in a statement. “Argo will be greatly missed by his K9 handler and all of us at the department.”
Throughout his career, Argo played a crucial role in assisting officers with law enforcement duties, often working side-by-side with his handler to keep the community safe.
