Warner Robins City Council Votes to Implement Findings From Pay Study
Tonight, Warner Robins Council voted unanimously to pass a resolution to implement the Carl Vinson Pay Study, but they still have a lot of details to iron out.
At last weeks pre-council meeting, the topic was hotly debated between councilman Bob Wilbanks and Mayor Chuck Shaheen. Wilbanks was pushing for the study to be passed immediately, which would mean a change to the 2011-2012 budget.
“We’ve been able to work some things out this week. We don’t want to raise taxes, and we don’t want to mess with our benefits package. Those were the two key factors here,” says Mayor Shaheen.
