(CNN)- Audiences are getting their first glimpse of Denzel Washington in Spike Lee’s latest film, “Highest to Lowest.” The movie is a reimagining of Akira Kurosawa’s classic crime thriller “High and Low.” Washington stars in the lead role, bringing a fresh intensity to a story of moral struggle and high-stakes decisions. “Highest to Lowest” opens in select theaters on August 22nd, and will stream on Apple TV+ starting September 5th.
