Tom Ellington New Chair of Appropriations for Macon City Council

Macon City Council welcomes new members on the board, and new positions on committees. Tom Ellington was elected by his peers as Chair of the Appropriations Committee.

“I’ve got I think a pretty good handle on how the committee works. I’m committed to being fair to all the members of the committee making sure everybody has the opportunity to have their voices heard,” says Ellington.

Ellington was formerly the Vice-Chair of Appropriations. He served on the committee for four years. He says it’s an honor to be elected by his fellow council members.
