MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Tattnall Square Academy announced Thursday the hiring of Christian Palmer as its new head boys basketball coach.
Palmer, a Stratford Academy alumnus, was a standout three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track with the Eagles. He graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2024 and began building his coaching résumé at Brentwood School, where he helped lead the football team to a state championship appearance and guided the basketball program to a Final Four run.
Most recently, Palmer served at Piedmont Academy, where he held multiple roles: head coach for boys basketball, assistant coach for football, and head golf coach.
Palmer takes over a Tattnall program coming off a strong season under former head coach Matt Chambless. The Trojans finished 22-5 overall and went a perfect 10-0 in District Six play, earning a trip to the state championship game.
Palmer will look to continue that momentum as he steps into a program with high expectations and a winning tradition.
