Houston County Battles Against Clarke County In First Round Of Girls Soccer Playoffs

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – After a 15-3 record during the regular season, the Houston County Lady Bears prepared for to host their First Round matchup in the GHSA Girls State Soccer Championship Tuesday night at Freedom Field against the 5-8 Clarke Central Lady Gladiators.

A goal in the 28th minute from Ayah Abdul-Malik put Houston County on the board first 1-0. More of the same in the second half, as the Lady Bears score the lone goal of both the first half and the second half. The second goal of the game came from Catherine Grady in the 78th minute to seal the win 2-0.

Houston County will host 14-4 Alexander at Freedom Field Tuesday, April 29th.
