Georgia State Fair May Return In Spring Under New Ownership
The Georgia State Fair will most likely return to Macon this spring.
A Tennessee company, Universal Fairs, is in negotiations to purchase the fair. They offered the Macon Exchange Club more money than they’ve raised in the past 3 years at the fair.
Fair president, Don Johstono, says a majority of the money generated from the sale of the fair will continue to support local agencies and non-profit organizations. This change of hands doesn’t mean a complete monetary loss for Macon.
