Milledgeville’s ArtHealthy festival happening Saturday

About 175 health vendors will be at the Milledgeville festival helping attendees with all of their health concerns.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you want to get your blood or cholesterol levels checked, then you might want head out to Milledgeville for the annual ArtHealthy festival on Saturday.

This year’s theme is “In Motion.”

ArtHealthy Festival Coordinator Toyia Barnes says the goal of this year’s festival to get people excited about moving around while connecting with their friends and neighbors.

On Saturday, April 12, there will be about 175 vendors featuring everything from health assessments to self-defense classes and CPR demonstrations.

Vendors will be lined up on Georgia College & State University Front Campus and parts of Hancock and Wilcox streets.

Those streets will be closed during festival hours.

Festival hours are 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

There will also be a 5K race in downtown Milledgeville that begins at 8:30 a.m.

A whole section of the festival is dedicated just to kids; they will get the opportunity to do things like learn how to ride a bicycle.
