MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s that time of year again. Friends of the Library (FOTL) is hosting its annual spring book sale to support local literacy.

On Tuesday, volunteers were busy setting up tables and organizing books at The Round Building at Carolyn Crayton Park.

All proceeds will benefit the Macon-Bibb County Library System’s summer reading program.

Steve Mosley, a volunteer and FOTL board member, said the sale will feature thousands of like-new and gently used books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs in more than 40 categories.

Standard pricing is $1 for paperbacks, $2 for hardcovers, and $1 for all kids’ and teens’ books. The sale is open to FOTL members Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. It will be open to the public Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Hours for Friday and Saturday are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All items are half-price on Sunday.
