Website Raises Money for Macon Family Battling Cancer

A new unique social networking tool is helping non-profit organizations around the country raise awareness, and one Macon family is reaping the rewards of the website called Cause Layout as their 9 year old son battles cancer.

February 24th 2010, it’s a day the family’s normal changed forever.

“We’ve adapted now. It’s kind of like our normal, but at first it took a long time for everybody to get in sync with what was going on,” says Ashley Perez.

Almost a year ago doctors found a tumor on her then 8 year old’s spine. Jose’s unexpected illness didn’t mean life stopped.
